Dale

Image

Having survived over two dozen real emergencies in his 30+ years in aviation, Dale  has inadvertently used up many of his 9 lives. Graduating Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1993, Dale spent 3 years as a full-time CFI and Assistant Chief Flight Instructor for ERAU before moving on to Trans States Airlines as a Captain, Check Airman, and Instructor on the British Aerospace Jetstream 31. Hired by Trans World Airlines in 1998, he was a Flight Engineer on the Boeing 727 and a MD80 First Officer for 4 years before beginning a 13-year furlough after 9/11. During his furlough, he flew as a Captain for Murray Aviation (National Airlines), Spirit Airlines, and Virgin America. In 2015 Dale returned to a legacy airline, where he flew as a B757/B767 pilot and is currently an Airbus 319/320/321 Check Pilot. With a total time exceeding 30,000 hours,  Dale's dual given in small airplanes is over 5,000 hours and in tailwheels exceeds 1,000 hours.  Dale is furthering his aviation knowledge and experience by hoping to stand on the shoulders of the giants who came before him.

Whiskey and Aileron keep the rest of the team honest, and despite being aloof, do their best to always be in the same room. Their favorite things are purring and knocking things off shelves or countertops.

Our Core Values

We Foster Education

Whether you are eight or eighty, life is all about learning. We find that occurs best in a relaxed and open atmosphere.

We Pursue Excellence

In aviation, there is always something new to learn!

We Practice Honesty

We will not lie to you about whether you are ready or not. Improvement doesn't always come from our successes; Sometimes our failures teach us more.

We knock things off countertops

Nothing belongs on a countertop. This is the rule of the cat.
